Lean ground beef 1 ½ lbs / 680 g
Chopped onion 1 cup / 250 ml
Chopped celery ½ cup / 125 ml
Canned stewed tomatoes 14 oz /398 ml
Canned kidney beans 14 oz /398 ml
Condensed tomato soup 10 0z / 284 ml
Whole Canned mushrooms 10 oz / 284 ml
Chili powder 2 tsp / 10 ml
Granulated sugar 1 tsp / 5 ml
Salt to taste ½ tsp / 2 ml
Garlic salt ¼ tsp / 1 ml
Pepper 1/8 tsp / 0.5 ml
Oregano or Italian herb 1/8 tsp / 0.5 ml
Mix beef, onion celery salt pepper and garlic. Marinated it overnight. The next day, in a microwave proof casserole. Cover and cook on high (100%) for about 9 minutes or until no pink remains in beef, stirring well every 3 minutes. Drain if there’s fat on it.
Add remaining ingredients. Stir. Cover. Cook on high (100%) for 10 minutes or until it starts to boil. Cook, uncovered, on medium (50%) for about 17 minutes to blend flavors and thicken a little bit. Makes a 6 ¾ cups (1.53L)
